Joseph Banks Secondary College Stage 1 and 2
The Joseph Banks Secondary College in Banksia Grove, Western Australia, is a new development designed with state-of-the-art facilities. It includes a performing arts theatre, visual arts and media building, general and senior learning areas, science building, technology workshops, food studios, café, library and sports hall.
During Stage 1 of this project, our team undertook detailed electrical master planning facilitate the Stage 2 development. Our electrical design introduced a number of innovations and was refined to ensure a cost-effective, efficient outcome—it included a site-wide IP-based PA system which is the first in a Western Australia public school and an improvement over conventional PA systems. The project also included an IP-based disabled toilet emergency call system, improvement in the Interactive White Boards (IWB) pre-wiring system using HDMI and USB extender technology over CAT6 cabling system, and LED troffer lights which deliver the same outcome as LED extrusion fittings at a much-reduced cost.
Now complete, Joseph Banks Secondary College is an essential component in the delivery of public education in the rapidly expanding suburb of Banksia Grove in the City of Wanneroo.
