Atlassian Central
Atlassian had a vision to build the world's tallest hybrid timber building development in Sydney, New South Wales. The one-of-a-kind design sitting adjacent to Sydney's central station will stand 39 storeys high, becoming the home of tech giant Atlassian Australia.
Operating beside LCI Consultants, our team of multidisciplinary engineers collaboratively evaluated and shared developments to establish cross-challenge bipartisanship. Our integrated teams and governance structure enabled Stantec staff to review each phase of the project to compose a design meeting the client’s satisfaction. The finished structure will illuminate glass and steel façades, revealing a mixture of outdoor and indoor spaces. Using an energy-efficient approach, we introduced natural ventilation with large, planted terraces offering occupants access to nature.
Bringing the Atlassian vision to life, this building will transform the way thousands of technology workers operate, improving the occupant experience through modern building designs. The unique construction will transform Sydney’s cityscape in the near future.
