Iluka Office Fitout - CBD
International mineral sands company Iluka wanted their offices at 240 St George’s Terrace on levels 17 and 18 to be contemporary and compelling. They brought our team in to create a design that would reflect their brand with modern aesthetics, and we worked closely with Iluka and the interior designer to deliver.
Specific tasks included the reticulation of services to workstations by utilising the location’s raised floors and reducing the impact of work on walls and ceilings. We also worked with the building manager to confirm the removal of redundant services from the structure. An update of the base building fire services design was needed, particularly for the on-floor combined fire hydrant and sprinkler system, fire detection system, emergency warning, and intercom system. Maintaining the exposed services look, flush head sprinklers were provided in the boardrooms to co-ordinate with feature ceiling slots.
By focusing on up-front engagement and collaborative meetings, we were able to understand requirements, support effective communication, and fast-track the programme. With this office revamp, Iluka Resources Limited has a functional, code-compliant space that matches their vision for culture and operations today and for future expansion.
