144 Wicks Road, Macquarie Park

Macquarie Park in Sydney's Inner Northwest lies 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) from the central business district (CBD) and is recognised as Australia's technology hub. When the brownfield site at 144 Wicks Road in Macquarie Park was chosen to be the subject of a master planning project, we were brought in to help deliver the resulting mixed-use development.

Our civil, electrical, and hydraulic teams provided engineering services associated with road, stormwater, flood, and utility infrastructure provision for the precinct, which will include retail and residential components. Identifying utility provision opportunities was essential to ensure the proposed increase in demand could be achieved. We also investigated whether private utility providers could be brought into the precinct to establish private service grids.

Once complete, the project will help enable a dynamic and vibrant precinct for mixed-use developments, opening opportunities for finance, commercial services, information concentrated industries, and transport organisations. 144 Wicks Road will be a preferred location for corporations that want to set up regional head offices in Australia.
