South County Recycled Water Master Plan Update

Recycled water is a reliable resource for landscape irrigation, agriculture, and industrial applications that contributes to the long-term security of a region. The South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) is partnering with the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD), City of Gilroy, and City of Morgan Hill to make sure their communities continue to benefit from the use of recycled water while promoting the expansion of its use in the region.

Since we created the South County Recycled Water Master Plan in 2004, SCRWA came to our team when it was time for an update. The South County Recycled Water Master Plan Update includes a revised capital improvement program and associated costs for system expansion preferred alternatives.

Our role? We performed a market assessment and comprehensive communications plan for expanding industrial water reuse options. Our team also collaborated with multiple agencies to increase the reliability of the County’s long-term water supplies and provide the community with safe and reliable water sources for the foreseeable future.
