Kaye Edmonton Clinic

Providing the opportunity for health science students, professionals, and researchers to learn and work in a unique facility, the Kaye Edmonton Clinic is a partnership between the University of Alberta and the Alberta Health Services (AHS).

For this project, our team was retained to conduct mechanical and electrical commissioning services. This included custom air handling units complete with heat wheels and pumped refrigerant heat pipes for heat recovery, isolation rooms, Phoenix controls, and campus heating and cooling. The electrical systems commissioned included an emergency generator, high-efficiency lighting fixtures, and day lighting/and low voltage lighting control. This was completed as a 50/50 work split with the AHS facilities management group. As part of the field commissioning tasks our team worked together with the U of A’s facilities management staff to review the systems.

Our work expediated acclimation of facility personnel to the site prior to project turnover and resulted in the clinic’s building systems operating seamlessly on day one of opening.
