ENERGOS
The Ivorian Government wanted to boost renewable, clean, and affordable energy to achieve its sustainability objectives.
Our job? Developing systems to collect, process, and publish energy sector data. This has included assessing the potential for wind power, setting up an energy information system, and developing geographical information system (GIS) applications. We also contributed to strengthening the institutional and regulatory framework—developing procedures for the National Energy Efficiency Fund, drafting a code on and developing tools for assessing the energy performance of buildings, and developing energy efficiency standards for domestic appliances.
In addition, we’ve supported the preparation of energy efficiency projects, conducted sensitization and training activities on energy efficiency, and helped set up a network of professionals ready to assist businesses in the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. We’ve also contributed to building the capacities of public sector institutions in areas such as power sector regulation, economic and financial analysis, tariff setting, regulatory enforcement, and much more.
After these studies, implementations, and projects, the Ivorian Government will be able to improve electricity supply to their communities and put an end to power cuts.
