Marriott Residence Inns

Travel is challenging, so you want a hotel that feels like home. This was our mission as we worked with a private developer to create an amazing guest experience at three Silicon Valley locations.

The first property, an existing Residence Inn in Los Altos, was an in-depth renovation and modernization, which had to be done sensitively as the hotel remained operational. Our design is a modern take on California Living, drawing from the state’s natural beauty

At the next project, in Menlo Park, we converted an assisted living retirement home into a destination for modern business travelers with open, flexible work spaces, a warm color palette and lots of natural light. We used the lessons learned in Los Altos to apply the California Living style just as strategically and twice as efficiently, creating a contemporary space that reflects the surrounding tech community.

At the final space, a new hotel in downtown Cupertino, we’ve drawn upon the lessons from the other projects to deliver a space–even more efficiently–that anticipates guests’ needs–and makes checking in feel as natural as coming home.
