Kimpton Kawana Bay

Harmonizing the hotel with the land

  • Grenada

    Grenada

Combining an iconic brand with the local culture to create a contemporary style

Kimpton Kawana Bay will be a five-star boutique resort, an ocean-front destination located on the end of Grande Anse. On an island of lush landscapes, waterfalls, and pristine beaches, this hotel’s design will evoke Kimpton’s iconic contemporary style, a style influenced by the culture of Grenada.

The 221-key property is on the site of the old Flamboyant Hotel. Constructed in the 1970s, the old hotel will be re-purposed to develop the new Kimpton Resort. Our team will contribute architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture—creating luxurious guestrooms that will offer a fresh, handcrafted, organic approach to the guest experience. The five-phase project includes an integrated, in-house design and engineering team and kicked off with a collaborative, on-site design work session.

Positioned hillside, the design carefully respects a view across the Caribbean to picturesque St. George’s, Grenada. The resort will include Kimpton’s signature restaurant along with a dining terrace where guests can take in the Grenada sunset views. With its rooftop bar and event space, infinity pool, signature spa, and beachside bar and grill, the Kimpton Kawana Bay resort will be a place to remember.
