Brew-Ha Bici Café
A broad range of food and beverage offerings would be key to the activation of the King Square precinct as a key link between the Perth central business district and Northbridge precinct. Also a main connecting path from the newly constructed underground bus station, this was the perfect spot for Brew-Ha and their fantastic offering.
Our team was engaged to provide electrical and hydraulic engineering services to outfit the café with air conditioning and general exhaust, power and lighting, security and communications, drainage, and sprinkler layout modifications. An exposed service design was architecturally led and allowed for the usually concealed systems to be placed on display. The tight space with exposed services was a challenge to the disciplines as the design solution had to be considerate of thick structural elements and existing services. The resulting design cleverly balanced the exposed systems with colour for an architectural finish.
The new Perth-Northbridge transitional activation space now has a bike-centric store to match the neighbourhood intent, and the community benefits from increased activation of the new link, with a great coffee offering for workers, commuters, and travellers.
