Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ)

Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ) is a $30 million joint initiative between the Victorian Government and the City of Ballarat that is being delivered by Development Victoria. BWEZ is located in Mitchell Park, a 438-hectare industrial and commercial precinct north-west of Ballarat that will provide jobs and economic growth in the region.

Our team has been involved with the project since 2015. We’ve provided project coordination, survey, civil engineering, and construction management for multiple precincts within the zone. These include the 92 lot, 57.4-hectare Acacia Estate, Freight Hub, and stages 1 & 2 of the employment precinct. The project, to be completed over numerous stages, involves the development of surplus Crown land for industrial, wholesale, logistics, construction, commercial, and residential uses. It’s expected to create 9,000 jobs and generate $5 billion per annum.

With the work complete, BWEZ will successfully continue to attract new businesses, creating jobs, and developing residential land while also helping the economy in Ballarat.
