Albany Boat Harbour & Waterfront

Albany's Princess Royal Harbour, a stunning natural harbour, has become one of the most significant development projects in the city's long history. The goal? Revitalize the area and reconnect it to the community.

As principle consultants, we undertook early masterplanning and co-ordinated all stages of the development for civil works, infrastructure and electrical installation to bring about swift completion of the Albany Waterfront project. We were excited to discover heritage features such as the original timber seawall and rail lines on the site and took steps to document, preserve and make a feature of them within the design. We also carefully considered the need to protect the overall visual amenity and environmental quality of the foreshore area.

Now, the Albany Waterfront is a hub of activity that showcases a hotel, short stay accommodation, cafes, restaurants, shops, a marina and a purpose-built entertainment centre. This world-class waterfront development has revitalised the undeveloped foreshore into a sought-after destination, reconnecting the city centre with its historic harbour.
