Ballarat, Australia
Ballarat is Victoria’s largest inland city—a beautiful and unique place established during the gold rush of the 1800s. Its name is believed to be derived from two Indigenous words: “Balla” and “Arat” meaning “resting place,” a campground or meeting place where groups gathered. Today, the sense of community is strong and is at the heart of all that we do.
Located in the central business district, our Ballarat office is surrounded by the heritage streetscapes, tree-lined boulevards, and historic parks which make the city an appealing place to visit and live. Ballarat has a rich history of Indigenous culture and gold mining and was the location of the famous Eureka Stockade.
Our office is home to our Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying, and Town Planning teams. Many staff have worked here since the beginning of their careers, and over the last 45 years, our presence in Ballarat has supported our local community and helped build the city we love.
