Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Site Security and Security Design Briefs

The Pan American Games were created in 1951 and are the third-largest multi-sport competition in the world. Trailing only the Olympic Summer Games and the Asian Games, the Pan Am games feature thousands of athletes in a variety of sporting events—and hosts just as many fans.

When it comes to large gatherings of people, safety and security are always a top priority. So in 2015, when the Pan Am and ParaPan Am Games came to Toronto, Ontario, our team was brought on to perform site security enhancements for three new standalone venues and York University Stadium.

We applied our expertise to the Pan Am Aquatic Center, Hamilton Soccer Stadium, and Milton Velodrome, as well as the new York University Pan Am Complex. How? By providing site security design for each proponent and overseeing the video surveillance, system block diagram, and project documentation.

Through endless research and ongoing collaboration, we completed the project in time for a successful Pan Am Games in 2015. Our physical security team brought forth solutions that satisfied stakeholders and supported a safe and fun atmosphere in Toronto.
