Seabrook Orchards

The Seabrook Orchards site includes around 700 dwellings as well as a primary school and a new local centre. Our team’s local knowledge and multidisciplinary skills assisted in securing the delivery of this development, which forms part of the wider Newcourt urban extension comprising up to 3,200 dwellings and 20 hectares of employment land to the south east of Exeter.

We worked with the landowner, as well as local highway and planning authorities, to instil strong sustainability principles within the development. This included accessibility to public transport, including a new rail halt, education, local facilities, health care, public open space, energy efficiency, biodiversity, habitat creation, and management.

From an initial commission to help secure the allocation of the site within the local development plan, our commission expanded to provide an integrated and multidisciplinary approach. We then supported the development through the outline and reserved matters planning process.

Each home at Seabrook Orchards is designed to offer a more sustainable and family-friendly way of life by offering open plan living and plenty of space for the whole family.
