Temple College Health Science Center III Expansion - Design Services

As the home of their largest academic programs, Temple College needed to expand Health Science Center III to accommodate program growth and to support local demand for healthcare jobs. They reached out to our team of architects, designers, and buildings engineers to help make their vision a reality.

Our design centers around creating functional and flexible spaces that better support the various health education departments including nursing, sonography, surgical technology, and dental hygiene. We included classrooms and health science simulation labs for students to learn and train with the latest equipment. Additionally, we designed an expansion of dental hygiene stations, with new dental equipment, as well as renovated space for new operatory stations and material testing lab, with intraoral and panoramic dental radiology.

The fourth floor will provide standardized patient care, supported by a partnership between Temple College and Baylor Scott and White. Students will get authentic hands-on training with actors playing the role of patients, and medical students will use this floor as a skills lab. The space can also support hospital overflow in large disaster situations.

When complete, the expanded Health Science Center III will not only support growing program needs but also provide a visual anchor for the east side of the campus.
