North Gas Pipeline

Our client had natural gas being transported from the Leviathan field offshore Israel via the Israeli Natural Gas Lines (INGL) pipeline network (which is currently being extended) to the delivery point on the Jordanian border. There was a need for a new 56-kilometer long, 36-inch diameter natural gas transmission pipeline, called the North Gas Pipeline to be built in Jordan to transport gas from the delivery point on the Jordanian border into the Jordan Gas Transmission Pipeline (JGTP) system. Our team was subcontracted to perform technical services and assist in the execution of the project in two phases: a feasibility study, and technical assistance during project execution.

In order to reach the client’s goal, we completed a feasibility study regarding the enabling infrastructure (including pipelines, facilities and any compressor stations) necessary to deliver gas to meet proponent contractual obligations.  Then, during the construction phase, our team provided monitoring of construction progress and quality, execution strategy, and costs. The work included frequent site visits to witness key completion and acceptance activities. We certified the project was designed and constructed to meet all applicable standards and for the purpose intended.

This project is providing a clean and reliable alternative energy source to infrastructure and industry in Jordan and in the future to the other Middle East countries.
