Mortenson Construction

Mortenson Construction was looking to remodel their existing office space after spending over 15 years in the same location. Located in the historic Atrium Building in lower downtown Denver, the space had significant potential. So, our interior design and lighting teams would step in to reform the office into a workspace that reflects Mortenson’s rich history.

The company headquarters features brick exterior walls, round windows, and exposed timber construction. Our design displays and highlights these elements to set a proud, yet professional tone. The design also visually-blurs the lines between private offices and meeting areas. By using full glass office fronts, we helped to energize the space, promote transparency, and inspire collaboration between staff.

We incorporated many of the raw materials that are used in the building process today—common building material such as raw steel, concrete, and wood. Conference room fronts are treated as a building facade as a way to celebrate the structures that Mortenson Construction brings to life.
