LRHMC - Bannasch Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation
The master facility plan for the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center (LRHMC) was established to serve community healthcare needs by renovating existing care spaces and creating new facilities, like the Bannasch Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation. The plan would create a state-of-the-art rehabilitation space for patients to receive treatment closer to home, and provide staff with the leading-edge equipment to deliver the best outcomes and the safest care. The challenge? Conducting critical modifications to an existing space with minimal disruption to other care environments.
The 32-bed Bannasch Institute is a 37,300-square-foot renovation project located in the East-West building at the LRHMC. The facility is designed to enhance patient care by maximizing existing physical space and incorporating modern technology. For example, the Bannasch Institute offers a lift/track system that greatly enhances patient safety, outcomes, and experiences, while maximizing treatment opportunities.
The Bannasch Institute was developed in accordance with the master facility plan and without disruptions to the rest of the hospital. Our team worked effectively to collaborate through all phases of the renovation, and we also assisted the LRMHC in tracking and managing the cost.
