Wellington International Airport wanted a new intelligent parking guidance system for their expansion plans, including a hotel, terminals extensions, and multi-storey carparking. They approached our team for traffic engineering design and consultation to help with increasing visitor numbers and circulation requirements. Part of our analysis for each of the traffic modes required us to consider the client’s desire for an intelligent parking system for its new multi-level carparking building. We prepared parking layout designs and wayfinding scenarios, evaluated several tenders from system providers, and provided management, surveillance, and quality assurance at implementation of the intelligent parking system at the airport.

The result? Frogparking, the client’s preferred system provider, designed and installed the intelligent parking system—leading to calmer, more orderly parking guidance at a busy international airport.
