Terrain and Geohazard Assessment for Proposed Mines in Peru

Helping our client demonstrate plans for a safe and environmentally responsible mine

    Peru

Supporting mine design, planning, and construction planning in the mountains of Peru

With an abundance of mineral resources in its mountainous regions, Peru has a long history of mining. Today, the mining industry accounts for 60 percent of its exports. To develop mines in potentially hazardous areas with steep terrain, our clients are required to undertake environmental and geohazard studies to demonstrate safe and environmentally responsible construction and operations for the proposed mining facilities.

Our Geohazards team works closely with our Peruvian offices to conduct terrain, geohazard, and geotechnical assessments where mines and related facilities are proposed or operating. We support the design, planning, and operation of mining infrastructure and help our clients prepare and present their plans with confidence. From roads and pipelines that cross the difficult high altitude terrain, to specific solutions that protect people and assets, such as the installation of dynamic barriers to intercept sudden debris flows, our team helps deliver the job.
