New Women and Newborns Hospital Western Australia

There is no more momentous occasion than the birth of a child. So, when the aged (1916) “King Eddies,” King Edward Memorial Hospital, in Perth needed replacement, we were pleased to play a role in providing expectant mothers with a modern and inviting care facility.

The new Women and Newborns hospital will replace the existing infrastructure and E-block located closely to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Providing 105,000 square metres of space, the AUD$1.8 billion facility will provide women and newborns with a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, improved community access to clinical services, and a design that maximises natural lighting, and includes upper-level green spaces.

We will provide vertical transportation, electrical and hydraulic services to the already underway concept designs. At the end of 2022, a full scope of works and designs will be established after finalising a detailed business case and project definition plan. Like any parent, we couldn’t be prouder to play a role in “birthing” this important facility for the families of Perth and region.
