Project Destiny - Perdaman Urea Project

Located in Western Australia, near Karratha, in the Burrup Strategic Industrial Area, Project Destiny is a proposed world-scale, two-million tonne per annum urea plant that will provide fertiliser to address a worldwide shortage. The plant will be Australia's first urea export project to supply a growing Asia-Pacific demand and, where possible, will invest in local employment.

When Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers asked us to coordinate an environmental review of Project Destiny, our team of experts was ready. Our Western Australia Environmental, Planning, and Approvals team coordinated the Environmental Review Document for the Public Environmental Review of the proposed plant. We are working collaboratively with Perdaman and its engineering procurement and construction contractor, SNC-Lavalin, to help the project develop sustainable and best-practice detailed design and construction management solutions.

Project Destiny has been awarded 'Project of State Significance' status by the Western Australian State Government, which is set to kick-start a new wave of local manufacturing in Western Australia—creating local jobs and supporting the communities in the Karratha and Dampier regions.
