A registered planner, Matt has over 25 years' experience in the planning and property industry, covering a range of development projects and their statutory approvals. He works with developers to identify approvals pathways and assist them with navigating the regulatory landscape.
Matt helps reduce risk in the approvals process by creating plans that respond to environmental and heritage overlays, community concerns, and localised planning principles, while delivering strong commercial outcomes. He’s also an effective project manager—often bringing together disparate bands of specialists to collaborate on approvals—and an experienced expert witness at Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) hearings and planning tribunals.
When he isn’t working on planning efforts and approvals, Matt loves spending time with friends and family at his home on the Surf Coast, often involving sport of some kind. His love of sport extends to trips overseas to see the big spectacles—the Olympics and football World Cups. An avid Liverpool fan, he embraces the emotional rollercoaster of the committed supporter.
