Gabriela is a dedicated environmental specialist with a strong background in geology, approvals, and geotechnical analysis. From exploration to mining and mine closure, she has more than 15 years of field geoscience experience throughout Western Australia and Brazil. She’s passionate about promoting environmental stewardship, achieving impactful outcomes, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Drawing on her deep understanding of the mining industry, with a strong foundation in the gold sector, Gabriela has broadened her expertise by working on various iron ore projects across the Pilbara and in Port Hedland. She’s gained comprehensive knowledge in resource development, health and safety practices, and data analysis. As a senior environmental scientist, Gabriela has contributed to the development of the completion criteria in the Pilbara and participated in waste characterisation studies.
When she isn’t championing sustainable mining, Gabriela is passionate about practicing and teaching yoga. She also enjoys long walks on the beach or in the park with her partner and three dogs.
