Desmond is a principal traffic engineer and team leader for our Western Australia Transport team. Working on transport projects, he’s responsible for managing and delivering traffic engineering and waste management projects of varying scales. He provides technical advice and prepares traffic impact assessments and waste management reports for proposed multi-residential and commercial developments. His advice assists with the functional design of access, parking, and traffic circulation for these developments, which contributes to obtaining approvals from state and local authorities.
While project deliverables may look similar, Desmond understands that each project has its own unique issues, opportunities, benefits, and impacts. His favourite part of any job is getting to see his project completed and built—vital to the economy, environment, and livability of the community.
A sports fan, Desmond can be found watching cricket, rugby, and soccer, or even hitting golf balls at the driving range. When time permits, you might even find him enjoying Latin and ballroom dancing.
