One of the greatest perks about Kieran’s role is the opportunity to actively engage and problem solve with other scientists, landowners, community members, and Traditional Owners when out in the field or in the office. He enjoys providing efficient, science-driven solutions to stakeholders for projects with challenging circumstances.
With more than seven years’ experience working in consulting and private industries, Kieran has gained invaluable knowledge and insight from completing field investigations in both natural and contaminated study areas in mining, defence, terrestrial, and coastal settings Australia wide. He has undertaken site history and desktop research for contaminated assessments and environmental constraints, as well as collecting, compiling, and interpreting field and laboratory data.
Kieran is a remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) pilot, with a 25kg Remote Pilot license (RePL) and has completed the Aeronautical Radio Operator Course (AROC). He has performed aerial mapping surveys, including stockpile and landfill management, infrastructure inspections and remote water sampling with his license.
When he is not out in the field or working in the office, Kieran loves to continue to experience the great outdoors during his leisure time. You can find him cave diving across Australia, hitting a local mountain bike trail, or camping.
