Supporting net zero carbon in construction of new buildings
Symmetry Park, Rugby is a proposed two million square foot logistics development in Rugby, Warwickshire. Tritax Symmetry, our client, is committed to net zero carbon in constructing the buildings for this modern logistics centre. For the client’s outline application—used to deem the acceptability of a proposed development—we prepared and coordinated the Symmetry Park, Rugby Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Our assessment consisted of technical chapters of flood risk, ground conditions, acoustics, air quality, and transport planning, as well as supporting technical work on health impact, sustainability, energy, lighting, and waste management.
Throughout the outline planning permission process, we provided our client with integrated consultancy advice, working with the team and stakeholders to enable planning permission to be granted for the site. Continuing to support detailed and reserved matters applications for air quality, acoustics, and transport planning, we’re working with National Highways and Warwickshire County Council to secure technical approval for the new signalised access off the A45/ M45 junction, and to deliver local infrastructure improvements for cyclists.
The new facility will provide local job opportunities and deliver infrastructure for a wider strategically planned community development.
