With over 30 years of experience in the mining and mineral processing industry, Jay has worked in operations and maintenance at several underground and open pit mines that mine copper, gold, lead, zinc, and potash. His background includes operational management and mechanical design in plant and underground settings, equipment installation, commissioning, plant maintenance and reliability, and safety leadership.
For the past 13 years, Jay has been a project manager for mining projects primarily in Saskatchewan. He’s led projects ranging from preliminary feasibility studies to engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) design and installations. He’s also acted as owner’s project manager for clients on feasibility work and capital construction projects.
When Jay isn’t leading projects, his favorite pastime is golfing—he’s even built a golf simulator in his garage for winter practice. He’s also a proud dad of two (a teacher and a mechanical engineer), and an even prouder grandpa of one!
