Dendy is an associate and senior limnologist with more than 15 years of combined consulting and academic experience in water resource monitoring, assessment, and management. She holds a Ph.D. in environmental science (limnology) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dendy was recently appointed as our US technical leader for water quality. In this role she directs and promotes consistent technical standards and guidance while focusing on client needs and anticipating market trends.
As a certified lake manager, Dendy has extensive experience with the management and restoration of shallow lakes, large lakes, and reservoirs. With expertise in biogeochemical nutrient cycling, limnology, and eutrophication/harmful algal blooms, she has led and supported water resource related projects across the country in a variety of land uses, from pristine Arctic Alaskan lakes to highly-degraded urban ecosystems. Dendy leads Minnesota’s Lake Restoration and Management team and serves on the board of directors for the North American Lake Management Society.
When she’s not working, you’ll often find Dendy hiking with her dog, cycling, and kayaking and canoeing on local lakes with her wife.
