Based in Minneapolis, Katie is an environmental scientist passionate about getting to the bottom of water quality problems, especially in urban areas. She specializes in helping cities and watersheds identify problems and plan and implement projects to address them.
Katie gets excited about collaborating with others and using the best-available science. Recently, she worked with a local watershed to improve water quality in two suburban lakes to get them delisted from the State’s List of Impaired waters. Improving and protecting water resources for all to enjoy is what keeps her going.
Outside of work you will find Katie baking sourdough bread, open water swimming, traveling, or planning the next house project with her partner.
