Carolyn has 30 years of experience in various aspects of environmental projects throughout Virginia. Focusing on environmental management and investigations for transportation projects, she’s worked on numerous and varied state and local transportation projects—ranging from sidewalk improvements to the construction of a new tunnel for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. She also serves as environmental manager for several complex infrastructure design-build projects.
With a firm grasp of federal and state environmental regulations, Carolyn’s expertise includes augmentation with the US Army Corps of Engineers for a major transportation project, and with the Commonwealth of Virginia for restoration projects within the state park system. Her decades of experience include serving as a state regulator for the Department of Environmental Quality and as the stream project manager for the state’s largest compensatory mitigation in-lieu fee fund.
When she’s not bringing environmental projects to life, you might find Carolyn hiking, fishing, and camping with family and friends or cheering on her son’s travel or high school baseball teams.
