Originally from Italy, Giovanna travelled to Alaska for a one-year professional experience. After more than 17 years and counting, she calls Alaska home.
Giovanna is a senior architect and leads the buildings practice in Anchorage, Alaska, but her experience has grown to include valuable contributions in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai, Seward, and Wasilla. She’s also studied and practiced in Italy, Spain, and Guam. All of the experiences, places, and people met along the way have been a key element of her professional and personal development today.
As a well-respected designer in the architecture community, Giovanna's design strengths stem from a holistic approach that includes stakeholder vision, program, space planning, and materials selection. She is truly passionate about architecture and design—she loves to reach for solutions.
Giovanna enjoys traveling, photography, art, hiking. She also appreciates the time spent watching master cinema directors like Fellini, Almodovar, and Hitchcock—while she makes school lunches for her two girls.
