Bob is an environmental and facilities planner with experience in United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) water resources planning, Section 404/10 permitting, and the National Environmental Policy Act. This includes work with the USACE Galveston District and the Harris County Flood Control District.
In his nearly 40-year career, Bob has managed more than 2,000 environmental planning, permitting, and feasibility projects. These represent more than $10 billion in the construction of ports and waterways, water-related facilities, highways, transit and aviation transportation facilities, land development projects, and other public works facilities such as pipelines, water conveyance, and dam or reservoir facilities. Bob is also experienced in coastal restoration through the beneficial use of dredged material, flood risk assessment, flood risk communications, flood risk strategies, flood damage reduction, and water supply studies.
An avid fisherman and Texas native, Bob first got to know the estuaries of the Texas coast by fishing them while in grad school and later with his son. He also loves hunting and playing guitar.
