Mark manages domestic and international projects, specializing in renewable energy—particularly hydroelectric development. He provides engineering services (mainly in hydropower planning, but also reviewing civil and structural submittals), and he wins new work by listening to his clients, bringing in quality projects on time and within budget, and innovating to achieve synergies of different technologies.
Responsibly-developed, sustainable hydropower has far-reaching benefits—from providing renewable energy to mitigating flooding, providing recreational opportunities, supporting agriculture, and creating jobs (especially during construction). Recently, Mark has delivered renewable energy solutions at the first privately-developed hydropower facility in the history of Pakistan (New Bong Escape) and the third such development in that country (Gulpur), as well as two small hydroelectric developments in Jamaica (Rio Bueno and the Maggotty Falls expansion).
Mark is actively promoting hydropower and solar synergy at national and international conferences such as HydroVision and Africa 2019. But if you see him off the clock, he might be enjoying some history, biography, or science reading or practicing for his next classical vocal/choral performance.
