Examining how a new stormwater diversion tunnel scheduled for completion in 2018 will protect the north side of Chicago, Illinois during major storms
Stantec employees Mohammad Djavid, Wade Moore and Rick Bolliger recently published a World Water article in cooperation with Vasile Jurca at the City of Chicago Department of Transportation. The piece, featured in the Autumn 2016 issue of World Water Stormwater Management, examines how a new stormwater diversion tunnel scheduled for completion in 2018 will protect the north side of Chicago, Illinois during major storms. Previously, residents in a number of neighborhoods have had to rely on canoes to escape flooding, but this important project will rectify those issues.
