Stantec's Shelley Phillipson recognised for championing diversity

National Marketing Manager, Australia, Shelley Phillipson has been recognised by the National Association for Women in Construction at the WA Awards of Excellence
The Awards showcase the achievements and industry advancements of women, men and organisations in the construction industry. NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to promote and improve the construction industry through the advancement of women.
Shelley received the Diversity and Inclusion Award for her involvement in establishing a Paid Parental Leave policy at Stantec and championing transformational change across the organisation, and the wider industry. She is also involved in the Property Council of Australia’s Diversity committee and the current chair.
Shelley said she honoured to receive the award, and is further empowered to continue supporting and driving diversity across the industry.
“Diversity is about bringing together people with a broad range of ideas, knowledge and backgrounds,” she said.
“By working together to promote and encourage diversity and inclusion, our organisations – and our industry – will go from strength to strength.”
Stantec ANZ Country Lead Jose Granado congratulated Shelley on her win and acknowledged her passion and enthusiasm.
“We are very proud of Shelley’s achievement and her contributions to driving Stantec’s diversity and inclusion initiatives,” he said.
