Loop 375 Border Highway West Extension Project

El Paso is the largest metropolitan area on the United States/Mexican border, and it encompasses an estimated population of 2.5 million people. As a regional transportation hub, infrastructure improvements are paramount in order to relieve congestion, improve regional connectivity and provide for safer roadways.

The Loop 375 Border Highway West Extension is a 7.1-mile design-build project that includes the construction of a new four-lane controlled access toll facility, which is intended to connect Loop 375 to US 85 in order to provide an alternate route for I-10, better regional system linkage and improved access to the University, the downtown area and the surrounding medical centers. Serving as design lead, we also provided review services, looking at production of the roadway plans, including the typical sections, the removal plans, the roadway plan and profile sheets. The drainage review included hydrology, bridge hydraulics, a scour analysis, pavement drainage, roadway ditches, culverts and bridge scuppers.

El Paso now has a roadway that connects the city, keeps people safe and helps traffic flow.
