Upgrading efficiency and functionality

Proudly supporting the Conley Container Terminal for over five years, our team has delivered over 16 task orders under our on-call contract that have the terminal functioning at a higher and more efficient capacity.

Starting with the Conley Terminal Master Plan, we provided conceptual terminal planning services to maximize container throughput within the current footprint, as well as provision for a future expanded footprint. Our team also performed the engineering to replace the aging and costly electrical and control systems in the four-existing low profile ship-to-shore container cranes. Additional work included studies to determine alternate layouts of grounded containers, refrigerated containers, and pavement improvements in the reefer container area to improve operational efficiency.

Lastly, we assisted in the purchase and transport of two new cranes for the terminal. Our team provided a budgetary cost evaluation as well as an assessment of the structural, mechanical and electrical conditions to develop the subsequent purchase agreement—expediting design and delivery of construction documents for structural modifications of the cranes.
