A rapid regulatory response facilitates timely project completion

MWF Properties (MWF) set out to build their third residential development known as Villas II in Burnsville’s Heart of the City downtown area. The project triggered mandatory environmental review, specifically a state Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW), and MWF reached out to us to help.

We worked under an aggressive schedule to complete the EAW as soon as possible to hit upcoming project and financial deadlines. As part to the process, we analyzed potential environmental considerations such as climate change and adaptation, greenhouse gas analysis, and transportation.

After the EAW public comment period, the Burnsville City Council adopted a resolution concluding that the EAW and related documents for the Villas II were sufficient. The project did not pose significant environmental effects, so further study through an environmental impact statement (EIS) would not be required. This allowed MWF to move forward with Villas II and meet necessary deadlines without delay.
