The Landing, Maidenhead

Marked as a key regeneration area in the heart of Maidenhead, the site historically known as The Landing is located 100 metres away from Maidenhead Train Station, making it a perfect hub for commuting. The proposed scheme will transform this part of Maidenhead into a truly mixed-use development, including about 27,000 square feet of communal space, green spaces, outdoor seating areas, landscaping and trees around a new public square as well as up to 424 new residential and 40,000 square feet of retail opportunities.

Our team initially supported the client on their bid process to secure the scheme and later provided multiple services including leading on the environmental impact assessment (EIA). Given the scale of the development, its location, and height against the current context of Maidenhead's skyline and building portfolio, the air quality, ground conditions, socioeconomics, and sustainability teams all had their own challenges to overcome to secure this scheme. Planning permission was granted in September 2015.

Upon completion, the scheme will provide plenty of employment opportunities and new community facilities. The carefully designed homes will provide people a chance to live within the town centre, close to the soon to open Crossrail link at Maidenhead Station, directly connecting commuters to London.
