Tungsten-Molybdenum Mine Project

Located in a rural area where employment and business opportunities have been hard hit by a declining forest resources industry, this open pit tungsten and molybdenum mine has near surface deposits.

Doing our part, with environmental assessment, characterization of field and baseline conditions, and follow-up program initiation, we’ve been on hand to assist with permitting and support for construction and operation plans. We reported on biological sciences (aquatic, terrestrial, avian, wildlife, wetland), archaeology, air quality, acoustics, human health and ecological risk assessment, hydrology and hydrogeology (assistance to prime contractor), socioeconomic assessment, and supporting public consultation and Aboriginal engagement.

Sharing our findings is the first step in creating a project with real benefits. We spoke to stakeholders to find ways to manage potential effects on fish and fish habitat, and collaborated on enhanced compensation plans to offset those effects. With 30,000 tonnes per day of output and a potential lifetime of over 27 years, this mine is packed with opportunity—and we’re right there with it.
