Pipeline Replacement Project

The original pipeline, built in 1970, helped fulfill fuel transportation needs. To extend the system’s useful life and continue safe transportation of refined fuel products for those communities, the pipeline replacement project was launched.

Our contribution was the engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) on 320 kilometres (200 miles) of new steel pipe. The project included mainline block valve and densitometer sites along the length of pipe, pig traps at several locations, and the examination of existing pump stations and terminals to upgrade as necessary.

Using our mTOOLS™ mobile solution for data collection, our team helped improve the safe transportation of refined petroleum, meet the growing needs of consumers, contribute to the economy, and reduce tanker truck traffic on a major highway.
