Casino Regina Masonry Repoint and Repair
For 70 years Union Station was Regina’s main junction for railway passengers. It was the regional office for several rail companies, and it was built to be both imposing and beautiful. In 1990, it closed its doors, and in 1991 it was designated as an official heritage site. A few short years after that, this historic building was converted into the Casino Regina.
But over a century of use had left its mark. The exterior façade, of Tyndall stone and Indiana limestone, had weathered and deteriorated. From an arm’s length distance, we scrutinized every part of the exterior and, with precise and meticulous care, noted each deficiency. Each spot of wear was a unique challenge. Some only required partial repair, others needed a full replacement, but everything needed careful cleaning.
We repaired, restored, and cleaned the Casino Regina façade without disrupting business or tourism. Over three million patrons visit Casino Regina each year, and the historical significance of the building—and the beauty of its construction—continue to complement the casino activities and world class entertainment.
