Municipal Resilience Facility in Türkiye - Communication Activities

Hosting over 3.3 million Syrian refugees—mainly in Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis, and Adıyaman—Türkiye is facing an increase in demand on municipal services like water, sanitation, and waste management. The Technical Assistance and Investment Support for the Municipal Resilience Facility (MRF) project, financed by the European Union (EU) Regional Trust Fund, aims to enhance these municipalities' capacity to improve essential services for both locals and refugees.

Our role? We’re helping raise awareness among Turkish citizens and the Syrian population about the Technical Assistance and Investment Support for the MRF, highlighting the role of the EU, European Investment Bank, and ILBANK as donors. Our team’s tasks include developing a visual identity, influencer engagement, and creating social media strategies. We’re also producing promotional materials and videos and evaluating the success of our efforts.

Together with a local communication provider, we aim to enhance project recognition and improve communication with local communities and beneficiaries. Ultimately, this project is working to strengthen EU-Türkiye partnerships and promote social cohesion in areas that deal with the challenges that come with giving a home to large numbers of refugees.
