This gateway to international markets saw many strategic decisions during development to achieve cost-effective outcomes

Latitude 32 is one of Australia's largest industrial developments and is a visionary project highlighting the State Government's commitment to meet market demand for industrial land in Perth. The Flinders Precinct is the first industrial development area within Latitude 32 providing temporary, medium, and long-term industrial space.

Stantec provided design, development, and superintendence for the Flinders Precinct, and our scope also required strategic negotiations with the Water Corporation for infrastructure planning. The site is encumbered with numerous major services including significant communications infrastructure, transmission lines, and oil pipelines. As a result, we had to engage in extensive coordination with key stakeholders to achieve satisfactory cost-effective outcomes—for example, to reduce imported fill, we will reuse limestone material in future development stages.

Sitting 27 kilometers from Perth’s central business district, Flinders precinct is strategically placed in this heavily used industrial area. It has become a gateway to international markets and will help support economic growth by hiring 11,000 people to generate more than AUS$15 billion annually.
