As Stantec’s chief human resources officer, Asifa is accountable for all human resources functions within our Company. Asifa and her team are focused on attracting, retaining, and developing our teams—people with strong technical expertise who are inspired by their work and highly engaged with our Company. She’s passionate about cultivating a culture where promoting good ideas is synonymous with business success, and she also believes that culture thrives when the development of high-performance people and teams is seen as a personal responsibility.
Before assuming her current role, Asifa was the business leader for revenue growth in our Environmental Services business, providing services to various clients in the oil and gas, mining, commercial, and public sectors.
Throughout her career at Stantec, Asifa has focused on achieving effective outcomes for clients and creating positive impacts for the community. Outside of Stantec, she served as a mentor for the Vancouver Board of Trades and WXN's Mentorship Programs and as a member on the executive committee for the Business Council for BC. She’s also completed board terms with the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Alumni Association Board, the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies for BC, and the Board of Governors for the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Proudly, Asifa was recognized with the Women’s Executive Network’s 2015 Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award.
