Directing fresh water is likely humanity’s first infrastructure. However, we are a long way from stone aqueducts and lead channels, and Kyleen is excited for the new challenges and opportunities provided in the water sector today. As a project engineer in the Water group, she supports a variety of projects ranging from process modeling, wastewater treatment, and energy management to alternatives evaluation, and advanced treatment for water reuse. Additionally, she oversees internal budgets and schedules, and provides coordination between her team and the client.
While she enjoys solving technical problems, she also gains satisfaction from her skills at bringing a team together to work through issues. She believes every project gains from listening to multiple viewpoints and insights, in order to think through to a more effective solution. Working in the water sector, Kyleen seeks a role to make the world a more functional, sustainable, and efficient place.
Outside of work, she enjoys getting away to explore new hiking spots and take a break from the busyness of city life. She values these moments to stop and breathe in the beauty of nature.
