Sarah is an archaeologist working out of British Columbia with over 12 years of cultural resource management experience in the subarctic/boreal forest and interior plateau regions of Canada. As a permit holder and field director, most of Sarah's work has involved archaeological overview and impact assessments for the oil and gas, forestry, transportation, and mineral exploration sectors.
With a wide range of experience, Sarah has worked and volunteered throughout British Columbia. Attempting to refine methodologies for archaeological surveys, Sarah is looking to implement her proposed strategies in the upcoming field season. “We are attempting to make cultural resource management less intimidating and more cost-effective while gaining a better understanding of an area’s archaeological resources.”
Sarah loves hanging with her dog, coffee chats, and exploring cool archaeological sites. She hopes to build stronger connections with indigenous communities through social initiatives and inclusion in local archaeology.
