Driven by a passion for problem solving, Amanda blends her deep understanding of nature’s most intrinsic physical, chemical, and biological processes into innovative engineering design. With over 20 years of experience in the development of sustainable treatment solutions for water and wastewater, she applies forward-thinking alternatives to a diverse range of impacted environments. Amanda also specializes in the assessment, remediation, and restoration of wetland ecosystems.
One particular project Amanda takes pride is a zero-discharge industrial treatment wetlands in Saudi Arabia. With her work spanning the globe, she's also performed greening work for a smelter in Iceland that manages stormwater, designed a pilot treatment wetland for produced water in Qatar, and transformed a former municipal landfill in Brooklyn into a maritime grassland habitat.
Amanda is active in her field and serves on the Technical Advisory Board of the Pure Earth (formerly Blacksmith Institute) and on the editorial board of the International Journal of Phytoremediation.
